Legislative CommitteeRecently Portland NORML was very disappointed when the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) took great strides to undermine HB 3400, the statute that the OHA was deriving rules from. The rules created by the OHA made unnecessary hurdles that have temporally halted cannabis extract companies from extracting cannabis until they received their licenses from the OHA to do so, even though in HB 3400 it says that simply applying for licensure would be sufficient. Today, Portland NORML is excited to say that the OHA released a memo sufficiently meeting the requests of the Oregon voters, stating cannabis extraction will resume upon the application for licensure of such businesses!
