Local Roundup for Oregon Cannabis October 26, 2015

Every week, we are trying to keep our membership up-to-date on what is happening around the state with local bans and regulation.  Here is this week’s local roundup:

Portland: The Portland City Council adopted regulations for marijuana business last week.  The regulations include a change in hours of operation from 8am to 10pm (previously, it was 7am to 9pm).  Existing dispensaries will also be grandfathered in for distance requirements if they decide to convert to adult use retail outlets.

The OLCC has updated the list of banned counties and cities.  Eight new cities were added to the list this past week; three cities will implement immediate bans without a voter referral, including Ukiah, Spray and Lexington, while the remaining five cities will be referred to the voters in the 2016 General Election, including Halsey, Eagle Point, Millersburg, Gervais and Gladstone.  Those currently listed (* indicates new listing) with the OLCC include:

Moratorium with voter referral for ban
